From the Studio: The Evolution of a Vision

The journey of an artist is rarely a straight line. For me, it has a multi-layered experience through many years of experimentation – my natural instincts merging with learned techniques.

Looking back at where this all began in Montreal to where my studio stands today, the constant has always been a fascination with nature. A wolf or an owl is never just a subject; they are symbols of human behavior, resilience, and the complex emotions we live from day to day.

Finding the Balance

Transitioning to a full-time practice has allowed me to dive deeper into the "why" behind my work. I’ve always believed that art should feel alive. I really feel that the combination of vibrant realism (the “living being”) with modern abstract (the “energy”) tells a unique story, while still open to interpretation on so many levels.

Beyond the Canvas

In the last year, my journey has expanded beyond the easel. Opening up my process through videography and YouTube has been one of the most rewarding challenges of my career. It has allowed me to connect with a global community of creators and collectors, sharing not just the finished piece, but the "messy middle" where the real growth happens.

Whether I’m preparing for a major exhibition like the Artist Project Toronto or experimenting with new textures in the studio, the goal remains the same: to create work that can resonate with as many viewers as possible ; whether they have an art background or not.

Looking Forward

Art is an endless journey; I don’t think I will ever become bored. As I continue to explore new symbols and refine my palette, I am incredibly grateful to those who have followed along—whether you’ve been here since the beginning or just discovered my work through a video.

The best work is always the one that hasn't been painted yet. I can't wait to show you what’s coming next.
